What is Pregnenolone?
Pregnenolone is an endogenous neurosteroid that is involved in the steroidogenesis of progesterone, glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, androgens, and estrogens, making it a prohormone.It has been observed to inhibit GABA-gated chloride currents by enhancing receptor desensitization.
